Great program! I use it all the time. Thanks. 2 requests... Is it possible to have photos that are being uploaded replace photos that already exist in the same album on SmugMug? Also, Can we create a Category for a new album when uploading? Thanks again, Omar!
I use Send to Smugmug every time I upload. I 2nd the request to have a replace any photo with the same filename already in the gallery selected to upload to.
Sometimes the Smugmug software was a real pain to use. Send to Smugmug has helped making better use of Smugmug which is a grate help to exchange images with musicians.

Wish you could schedule uploads, and a pause button.

Did everything by the book, but send to Smugmug still grayedout in CS3 bridge. What's the FIX???

Thankyou so much for this application. I absolutely love it!!!!
I have been loving your software until I loaded the latest version. It can not load an entire file of images all at once. It stops loading after a few images then says an image did not load. I tell it to continue then it loads one or two more images then stops. I tell it to continue and maybe it doesn't load any images and asks me if I want to continue. I keep telling to, but it is getting a little old.
This is the uploader Smugmug should have written. The Smugboys really should buy it from you... for a lot.

I've used your brilliant program successfully for sometime - until this evening when I was prompted to upload the latest version (which I did). Now it will only upload the first image in a folder before displaying a prompt that it has failed to upload a picture. This seems to happen every time, on any folder of pictures. I've tried reverting to an earlier version, but with no success.
I have used your wonderful program flawlessly for a few years now. I was also prompted for the update and even after rebooting, I am having one photo load then get the failed to load message.
Hope you can fix it soon! I have tons of pics to upload in the next few days and sure would hate to use the smugmug stuff.
Yep, I worked with them to fix the issue last night. Sorry about the trouble it caused.

I am running an older version of Send to Smugmug and I love it, works great (1.1.8198.0). When I'd get notices of newer versions, I tried updating. Hadn't done so for a while so thought I'd try again, but when I do, I get this message: "This setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0. Please install the .NET framework and run the setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?"
1) I don't know what the ".NET Framework" is, and 2) I am leery of downloading anything on to my computer unless I know what it is and it's from a trusted source. So I say No and continue to use my older version. Help, please!
First -- this is a great tool, and I really, really appreciate it.
Second -- a couple of "bugs" (sort of). If you have a corrupt .JPG in the directory you're uploading, Send to SmugMug fails on this file very time. You should skip this file and then continue, and write the failures to a log file or something.
Last -- some suggestions for the future from a long-time software developer, marketer, and product manager. Take a look at a tool called Reget Deluxe (deluxe.reget.com). It's a download manager that runs in the taskbar, and has similar explorer integration to yours. What it has that you don't, though, is a persistent "engine" and queue model. It would be great to be able to add a lot of files from different directories, that were queued to go to many galleries and not have to have the task running in the foreground. Reget supports things like pausing and re-starting of downloads, automatic re-queuing of downloads when network errors occur, drag-and-drop, persistent logging, and history, scheduling of tasks, etc. I'd sure be willing to pay a reasonable price for such a tool, and I bet others would too. Call it SendtoSmugMug Pro or something...

Whan I try to upload my photos with that programm, I always get the message: Photo failed to upload - wuold you like to try again? Trying again repeats this message all the times. What can I do in that situation?
Chuck Linn on on 6.07.2009 at 11:36 PM
integration with BreezeBrowser would be really cool :-) Also, at least in Vista, the "downloading now" thumbnail can get terribly distorted, this is slightly annoying. This put aside, however, great app, keep writing more of the same.
Omar, I am once again haveing send to smugmug problems! I was uploading & kept getting photo failed to upload/retry? So I downloaded 1.2.9100.0 & at least it is now uploading in bunches but still giving me the same error! I rebooted the pc/modem/router!
Maybe it's just a temporary problem with smugmug or I once again have a problem!
I love this software, it's the only way I upload to Smugmug!

Hi Omar,
Would be really nice to have an option that will shutdown your PC when upload is complete.
I sometimes download 5GB of photos and it takes some time to do.

I just downloaded your program and think I'm going to really like it to upload my pictures. I have one question/request... Is there anyway to select the watermark you want to use or use my already profiles that are in SmugMug?
Doesn't work on windows 7 64bits. It installs in x86, but when to "send to smugmug" context menu, the app stops without showing any window. Rapair or re-install change nothing. Snif
I'm having problems with my Star Explorer. I'm trying to upload about 10,000 files into 100 different subdirectories.
I've been sitting in front of my PC for two days now and have 36 of 100 directories uploaded.
It would be nice if you could queue directories on the pc to match ones on Smugmug and then just go aways and let them upload. I tried to start 7 "Send to Smugmug" apps on Sunday but when I came back Monday morning instead of have 1000 files upload I had a bunch of failed uploads.
Thanks for the program. I like being able to upload from Explorer. I don't really like the smugmug Java uploader much.
